Privacy policy

Lumora Luxe is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your information when you visit or purchase from our Shopify store. It applies to all customers, primarily in the U.S. (and will be updated as needed if we serve customers globally). Please read this policy carefully.

Information We Collect

  • Order and Contact Data: When you place an order, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and payment details (e.g. credit card information) to process and fulfill your purchase.
  • Account and Communication Data: If you sign up for an account or newsletter, we collect your email and any profile information you provide (for example, to send order updates or marketing emails via Klaviyo).
  • Device and Usage Data: When you use our website, we automatically collect technical information such as your browser type, IP address, time zone, and device identifiers. We also record which pages or products you view and the site that referred you here. This “analytics” data is gathered via cookies and similar tracking technologies (for example, Google Analytics).
  • No Sensitive Data: We do not collect sensitive personal information such as health data, social security numbers, gender, age, sexual orientation, religion, or biometric data. In particular, we do not infer or store information about your health, or collect demographic details like age or gender when you shop with us.

We collect only the information needed to operate our store and serve you. We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

  • Order Processing: To fulfill your orders — processing payments, shipping products, and sending order confirmations and receipts.
  • Customer Service: To communicate with you about your orders, respond to inquiries, and provide customer support.
  • Marketing & Promotions: To send you news, offers, and other marketing communications (if you have opted in). You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. We use Klaviyo for email campaigns, and your email and name (if provided) will be handled in accordance with Klaviyo’s privacy policy.
  • Site Improvement: To improve our store and offerings. For example, we analyze how customers use our site (via Google Analytics and Shopify’s built-in analytics) to make the site better. Google Analytics helps us understand site traffic and usage, and you can review Google’s Privacy Policy or opt out of Analytics tracking.
  • Fraud Prevention and Legal: To detect and prevent fraud and other prohibited activities, and to comply with our legal obligations (for example, providing information to law enforcement if required by a subpoena).

In all cases, we use your data only for the purposes described here. We never use personal data for unrelated commercial purposes, and we do not sell or rent your information.

Third-Party Services and Sharing

To provide our services, we share your information only with service providers who assist us and are contractually bound to keep your data secure:

  • Shopify / Shopify Payments: We use Shopify as our e-commerce platform and Shopify Payments to process transactions. Shopify (and Shopify Payments) collects and stores your contact information, shipping/billing address, and payment details to facilitate orders. Shopify is required to use SSL encryption and other strict security measures (and is PCI-certified) to protect payment data. (You can read Shopify’s privacy policy here - Shopify Privacy Policy - Shopify)
  • Email Marketing (Klaviyo): We use Klaviyo to manage our email lists. When you sign up for emails, Klaviyo securely stores your email and any name you provide. Klaviyo does not use your information for its own marketing, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time.
  • Analytics and Advertising: We use Google Analytics and may use other Shopify apps or third-party tools for analytics and marketing. These tools collect aggregated or pseudonymous data about how you use our site (for example, pages visited) to help us improve our store. We may share limited analytics data with the Shopify apps integrated into our store (such as marketing or review apps) so they can perform their services. For example, targeted advertising partners may use cookies or pixels to show you relevant ads, but we never give these partners your name or financial data. (If you are a California resident, please note that sharing browsing data for targeted ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law, but we honor Do Not Track and opt-out signals as described below.)
  • Payment Processors: In addition to Shopify Payments, we may use other payment processors (for example, PayPal, Google Pay, etc.). These payment providers collect and store payment information to process your payment. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We will only share your personal information as described above or when legally required (for example, to comply with a subpoena). We never share your personal data with third parties for their independent marketing or “sale” purposes.

Data Security and Storage

Your personal information is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures (such as SSL/TLS encryption) to protect data in transit. Shopify (our platform) enforces strong security controls including encryption, firewalls, and PCI DSS compliance for credit card data. We limit access to your personal data to authorized personnel only, and we regularly review our security procedures.

We retain your order and account information only as long as necessary to fulfill orders and comply with legal and tax obligations. We retain your data as long as you are a customer or until you request its deletion. Invoices and other records are kept as required by law. When retention is no longer needed, your data is securely deleted or anonymized.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar tracking technologies on our website. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help the site function and remember your preferences (for example, keeping you logged in or remembering your cart). Cookies also enable analytics and marketing features.

Specifically: we use Google Analytics to monitor visitor behavior and site performance. We may also use advertising pixels (for example, Facebook Pixel) to enable interest-based advertising and measure ad effectiveness. Third-party apps integrated into our Shopify store may also place their own cookies to perform their services.

You can control cookies through your browser settings (e.g. to refuse or delete cookies). Most browsers have a “Help” section explaining how to manage cookies. For example, you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Please note that disabling cookies may affect site functionality and your shopping experience.

We do not change our data collection in response to “Do Not Track” browser signals.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. These may include the rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent where we rely on it. You also have the right to data portability (to receive a copy of your data in a common format).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know the categories of data collected, request deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or sharing of your personal information (though as noted, Lumora Luxe does not sell your data).

You can exercise your rights or update your information by contacting us (see below). We will respond to your request within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will verify your identity before making any changes.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by updating the “Last Updated” date or sending you an email). Please review this policy periodically to stay informed.
